Roof Collapses in Glen Burnie Auto Shop Fire

A fire destroyed part of an auto shop in Glen Burnie early Friday.

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to a fire at an auto repair shop on the 600 block of Crain Highway early Friday.

Crews arrived shortly after 2:30 a.m. and heavy fire was visible inside the building. The fire eventually collapsed the roof of the repair shop, according to department spokesperson Keith Hamilton.

Firefighters gained control of the fire at 4:05 a.m., and no one was injured. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, according to Hamilton.
