5 Displaced in Saturday Electrical Fire

An electrical fire damaged a Glen Burnie home on Saturday, displacing five residents.

Anne Arundel County fire crews were called to a home in the 1000 block of Glenvilla Drive at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, where firefighters saw smoke from the roof of the two-story residence, according to a fire department release.

Crews requested support, and 32 firefighters ultimately came to the scene. The fire was brought under control at 9:45 p.m., according to the release. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, which caused $85,000 in damages, according to the release.

The residents affected are being assisted by the Red Cross, according to the release.
