Traffic Stop Reveals Stolen Truck Parts

Police arrest two men after discovering stolen truck parts during a traffic stop.

Anne Arundel County police conducting a routine traffic stop discovered stolen truck parts in the vehicle, and arrested the two men hauling the cargo.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, officers in Glen Burnie stopped a 1988 Peterbilt truck with Tennessee plates for a commercial motor vehicle inspection near Marley Neck Boulevard. The officers saw remnants of a dismantled vehicle in the bed of the truck and called for the department's auto theft unit.

Investigators determined the parts belonged to a 1999 Freightliner tow truck, stolen from Chaz Towing LLC on Jan. 5.

Police arrested Troy Lamar Fry, 42, and Kenneth Eugene Hatch, 66, both of Pasadena, along with a third suspect whom officers did not identify. Charges are pending against the third suspect, according to police.
