Vintage Baseball, Classic Cars and Physical Education at Marley

This week began with a feature on vintage baseball and coverage of the season opener of the last Sunday. These teams play games using the rules as of 1864, which means no gloves.

On Saturday, Patch was on hand to photograph the for the Lost in the ‘50s Custom Car Club of Maryland after it was postponed last Saturday due to weather. The club, which is open to anyone with a car made in or before 1987, holds a weekly cruise night every Saturday in the Marley Station Mall parking lot.

Teachers and students at Glen Burnie schools did well this week with at being one of seven schools in the state to be recognized as a demonstration site. The honor distinguishes them as a model school for physical education.

A math interventionist at , Kristin O’Leary was named the for April by the Anne Arundel County Board of Education.

At North County High, 10 girls were selected to represent the school at a hosted by Michelle Obama at the White House March 30.
