Buses use a "stop" arm and flashing lights to alarm motorists around them that they are dropping off or picking up students at a bus stop. But the state report indicates the number of drivers passing these stopped buses has increased by roughly 50 percent in the last year.>>> Read more.

The parents of a 2-year-old girl who died from ingesting methadone have been charged with manslaughter, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Korri Thompson, 2, was unconscious and unresponsive when she was brought to the University of Maryland Medical Center's Pediatrics Unit on Aug. 13 and died on Aug. 24 after she was brought in for treatment 11 days earlier. Homicide detectives learned that the girl had ingested methadone, which caused her system to fail, police reported on Wednesday. >>> Read more.
