Eleanor Roosevelt Ranked in U.S. News' "2013 Best High Schools"
The top schools were in Montgomery County.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School was ranked as the 22nd best high school in the state of Maryland, according to U.S. News & World Report's "Best High Schools" Ranking.
The publication, which released its rankings today, states that the top five high schools in Maryland were all in Montgomery County:
No. 1: Winston Churchill High School
No. 2: Walt Whitman High School
No. 3: Poolesville High School
No. 4: Thomas S. Wootton High School
No. 5: Richard Montgomery High School

Roosevelt was also ranked 518th best school in the nation. It was the only school in Prince George's County ranked, according to the report.

A number of criteria help U.S. News & World Report rank schools nationwide, including the school's performance of state assessments, Advanced Placement (AP) tests, International Baccalaureate (IB) exams and how the schools effectively educate their black, Hispanic and disadvantaged students.
