Lanham Woman Attempts Robbery, Bites Good Samaritans
Police are still seeking a second suspect.
A Lanham woman is facing robbery and assault charges after attempting to steal a purse from an 80-year-old woman and then biting the victim's husband and a Good Samaritan, who foiled the robbery.
According to Prince George’s County Police (PGPD):
Sometime around noon on Tuesday, Lanham resident LeJean Nicola Lancaster, 25, held open a door at a carry out in Accokeek for the victim and her husband. As the two walked in to the store, Lancaster pushed the victim and snatched her purse.

The victim’s husband and a Good Samaritan tackled Lancaster as she was trying to flee and Lancaster bit both men. A second suspect, a man, then entered the scuffle and hit the Good Samaritan in the face in an effort to free Lancaster. When his attempts failed, he fled the scene.
Police arrived on the scene at around 12:15 p.m. Lancaster admitted her involvement in the robbery and was arrested and charged with theft and second degree assault.

The victim and the Good Samaritan sustained minor injuries.
Police are still seeing the second suspect, a man, pictured in the attached surveillance photo. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call thePGPD at 301-749-5064.
