Services Changes to Metro This Weekend
Service on the Blue, Orange and Red lines will be disrupted this weekend due to significant safety and reliability work.

Expect delays and time changes on the Blue, Orange and Red lines due to safety work on the tracks to comply with National Transportation Safety Board recommendations this holiday weekend.
There will be no train service on the Blue and Orange lines between Metro Center and L’Enfant Plaza stations nor between Federal Triangle and Smithsonian stations starting Friday night at 10 p.m. until Monday. Some of the repairs will be tunnel leaks, escalators and elevators and replacement of track switches.
The Red line will be sharing on track between the Shady Grove and Twinbrook stations for repairs at the Rockville station. Tracks will also be shared between Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood and New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U stations for repairs at the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood station. This change will occur from 10 p.m. Friday until Monday.
