Six Greenbelt Companies Rank in Fastest Growing

In the midst of an economic downturn, take a look at six Greenbelt companies that are on the rise. They’ve made it to the 2011 Inc. 5000, a list of America’s fastest growing companies.

Employee Growth

And, get this, some of them have a record for hiring. Though placing last among the Inc. 5000 that are in Greenbelt, Presidio is no lightweight. Among the six contenders, Inc. shows it as having the highest employee growth—351. Gryphon Technologies is next, showing—273.

Revenue

Presidio also tops the list when it comes to revenue, weighing in with a whopping 1.3 billion in 2010.

But Inc. doesn't base its rankings on revenue alone, rather on the percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010 (a three-year period). The company with the highest growth by this standard was ARRAY Information Technology, which showed a 250% growth over three years.

Greenbelt East Sweeps the Rankings

Five of the six companies are in Greenbelt East, one is in Greenbelt West and there are none in Center City.

The East quint-essential are near Greenway Center and all are within a half-mile of each other, making it a real economic hot spot.
