Three businesses in downtown are undergoing significant changes.

was recently sold and is temporarily closed. The shop was set to have a 30 percent off sale this weekend, but closed early due to the sale.

An email to customers this week declared that the business would be under new ownership, with the message: "Thank you for the many years of great memories!!!"

Original store owner Kelly Falkenstine was unavailable for comment this week.

Main Street Cigar will close its Washington Street location on April 15, but will retain its primary store location in Bel Air.

recently closed, according to a source. A call to the store found a disconnected number, and the store's website is no longer functional.

will close Saturday, at which point in time proprietor Scott Wallace will begin transforming it into a highly-interactive toy store.

Wallace described the new venture as part toy store, part hobby and project shop.

“It’s going to be more than a toy store,” he said. “It’s kind of hard to explain. It’s not going to be just a toy store.”

The business will involve Jody Carnaggio, a licensed childcare provider.

Wallace said "Wonder Toys" is slated to open in time for the first Friday in May at the courtyard-style, water-view property on St. John Street.
