BASEBALL: Warriors Seek Win At Stancill

Havre de Grace's home opener is Wednesday.

The Warriors baseball team will be happy to open the home half of the schedule Wednesday, if for no other reason than to get the final at-bat.

has lost three straight games in the late innings, including a walk-off win by Perryville Tuesday afternoon in Cecil County.

The Warriors offense amassed 11 hits, including doubles from , Dan Jamison and . Jamison added two RBIs, while Dominick Bolen and Andy Meiselwitz had two hits and one RBI apiece.

Zack Patterson, Logan Poore and David Amici added singles.

Poore gave the Warriors six strong innings before tiring in the seventh. He struck out one and walked none, scattering four runs on four singles and three errors by the Warriors infield.

Havre de Grace also allowed a Perryville run to sneak across in the second inning when the Warriors began to leave the field with two outs, and Panthers senior Jesse Ellis scored from second base after an out was recorded at first base.

Perryville scored four times in the bottom of the seventh for the win, scoring twice off Poore and twice off Kyle Greskoff. Ellis doubled off Greskoff as part of a 2-for-3 day.

Dustin Krahn drove in three runs and Jacob Morgan had an RBI for Perryville.

The Warriors led, 5-2, after three innings, but Perryville pitcher DJ Sheckles held them scoreless over three innings of relief.

The Warriors host Joppatowne at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at .
