UPDATED: Bear Sightings Continue In Harford County

A black bear was seen in Darlington this weekend.

UPDATED (12:30 p.m.)—The bear that has made his rounds in Harford County since early June apparently isn't ready to leave.

A series of bear sightings have been reported since and north along the .

The bear seems to have settled in the area recently.

Jason Sloan told that the bear was seen near a campground in Darlington on Sunday (see photos).

Steve Ruth told Patch that he saw the bear around 11 a.m. on Saturday at his home off Hughes Road in Darlington (see photos).

"He kind of wandered around here for a half hour, just tearing up the bird feeders and wondering where he could get some more food," Steve Ruth said. "We talked to DNR, they know about him, they're tracking him, and we think there's just one. But we're not sure."

The bear took down the bird feeders before heading off into the woods, Ruth said.

Explore Harford reported the bear was seen on Friday on Nobles Mill Road in Darlington.
