City Adds Document Shredder To Clean-Up Day

Havre de Grace's fall clean-up continues on Saturday.

Havre de Grace has added a paper shredder to Saturday's fall clean-up event at the community center.

City spokesman John Van Gilder told Patch Tuesday the city has contracted a large paper shredder to allow residents to safely rid themselves of documents.

Van Gilder said the shredding option is a crime prevention measure for residents.

Items such as cans of wet paint and hazardous materials will not be accepted.

Personnel will be on site to assist with the event.
