City To Proceed With Redistricting Case
The Harford County Circuit Court denied the County Council's request to dismiss Havre de Grace's redistricting case.

Yesterday, in the case of Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace, et al. vs. Patrick Vincenti, et al, the Circuit Court of Harford County denied the Harford County defendants’ motions for dismissal, allowing the case to continue. In its opinion, the Court stated, “there is legal sufficiency supporting the claims” made by the City, including “a well-pleaded argument for their cause of action against” the Harford County defendants.
“I am pleased with the Court’s opinion,” said Mayor William T. Martin. “The City stands by its position that the Harford County redistricting process should be open and transparent and reflect the will of the people.”
