Havre De Grace Residents Encouraged To Take Emergency Preparedness Training

Officials are offering emergency preparedness training for residents in the event of a disaster or widespread emergency.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — In the event of a widespread emergency or disaster, first responders are stretched thin. That's why officials are offering a citizen training class to help residents help themselves first in the event of an emergency.

Harford County has developed the Prepare Because You Care citizen training class. It is designed to address preparedness for a wide-range of disasters and emergency situations. Classes are free.

The 4-week session will be held Wednesdays from May 7–28 between 7–9 p.m. at the Havre de Grace Community Center, 100 Lagaret Lane in Havre de Grace. To register, visit https://www.harfordcountymd.gov/1721/Prepare-Because-You-Care.
