Drivers Should Expect Lane Closures Along MD 22 Near U.S. 40 Interchange For Bridge Work

Drivers using MD 22 near the U.S. 40 interchange and North Rogers Street should be aware that there will be lane closures for bridge work.

ABERDEEN, MD — Starting Monday, drivers should expect overnight lane closures along eastbound and westbound MD 22 in the vicinity of the U.S. 40 interchange and North Rogers Street Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will be cleaning and painting the bridges over the single freight rail track immediately west of U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway / Philadelphia Boulevard) and North Rogers Street. The $273,000 project will be complete by late summer, weather permitting, state officials noted.

The work on MD 22 in Aberdeen is part of the State Highway Administration’s $2.8 million contract for cleaning and painting bridges on state highways within Baltimore and Harford counties.
