Father, Daughter Charged in Havre de Grace Stabbing
An Aberdeen man and Havre de Grace woman face up to life in prison if convicted.

An Aberdeen man and his daughter were charged Thursday in connection with the in Havre de Grace earlier that day.
George Edward Smith, 55, of the 600 block of West Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen was charged with a single count each of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
Smith's daughter, 32-year-old Jennifer A. Anderson of the 700 block of Market Street in Havre de Grace, is facing charges identical to her father.

The attempted murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
The charges stem from that hospitalized one man.

Between 2:39 a.m. and 4:08 a.m. June 7 the unidentified man was stabbed in the neck and upper torso then taken to , spokesman said. He was released from the hospital before 8 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the man was involved in an argument on with a man and a woman on Water Street some time before the stabbing.
The relationship between the defendants and the victim is unknown.
