Familiar Faces Reign in Havre de Grace Election
Havre de Grace residents voted for mayor, city council and two ballot questions on Tuesday.

Mayor Wayne Dougherty won a fourth consecutive term and a ballot question to authorize the purchase of waterfront property was ratified by the electorate during Tuesday's municipal election in Havre de Grace.
Citizens had 13 hours to vote at St. Patrick Hall on Pennington Avenue in the May 7 election, and the votes were revealed to a crowd around 8:35 p.m.
Dougherty defeated challenger and former councilman Jim Miller as 1,584 votes were cast.

Randy Craig, John Correri and Fred Cullum will sit on the Havre de Grace City Council, after prevailing among a field that also included challengers Tom Barnes and Bob Greene. Incumbent Barbara Wagner opted not to run for re-election.

Dougherty, Craig and Correri will return to their seats. Cullum, with 16 years experience on the council, returns after a one-year hiatus.
All elected officials serve two-year terms. The other three seats on the council are up for election in May 2014.
Those elected will be sworn in at the May 20 City Council meeting.
Question A, authorizing bond refinancing, passed 1,270 to 218. Question B on the ballot, approving the purchase of property next to the Concord Point Lighthouse, passed by a vote of 1,098 to 458.
The votes will be official after absentee ballots are counted.
