Havre de Grace Crime: Car Stolen, Later Found

Revolution Street, 400 block, 9:48 p.m. on June 3. Veronica Ann Velazquez, 27, of the 400 block of Revolution Street was arrested on warrants from Harford and Cecil counties.

Congress Avenue, 600 block, June 3, 6:40 a.m. A 2004 Chrysler Sebring was reported missing after acquaintances of the victim’s roommate allegedly took the vehicle. It was seen going through the toll facility at the Harbor Tunnel in Baltimore before being located in the 600 block of Bourbon Street at 2:05 a.m. on June 4. The vehicle had significant front-end damage, multiple flat tires and damage to one side of the vehicle. Police have processed evidence and are continuing the investigation.

North Union Avenue, 500 block, 10:37 p.m. on June 2. A counterfeit $20 bill was used in an attempted purchase at a 7-Eleven. The store clerk immediately identified bill as counterfeit. The suspect said the money was found in parking lot before purchasing the items with actual currency. Police have no suspects.

Otsego Street, 900 block, 2:12 p.m., June 2. The screen door on an unoccupied residence had been cut and the glass door behind it had been etched in a similar shape. Police discovered no signs of forced entry and have no suspects. A woman moving out of the residence discovered the damage.

Heather Way, 300 block, 1:27 p.m. on June 1. A resident reported to police that an ex-boyfriend was continuously calling a business line at the residence. The responding officer answered a call from the suspect and learned he was calling regarding a child custody dispute. The resident was referred to the Harford County Court Commissioner’s office if she wished to press charges. The suspect was referred to Harford County regarding the custody matter.

North Washington Street, 200 block, 1 p.m. on June 1. A man reportedly tried to gain access through the back door of a residence before falling asleep on the deck of the home. The resident of the home called police the following day, after the man left the scene. Police have no suspects.

South Juniata Street, 400 block, 9:47 p.m. on May 31. An argument between two individuals led to minor damage within a residence, but no charges were filed. The individuals were referred to the Court Commissioner’s Office.

Lafayette Street, 100 block, 5:52 p.m. on May 31. Police responded to a report of two males in a fight. The men had separated and left the scene before officers arrived. They were found walking in opposite directions, neither of them requiring medical treatment. Both men were referred to the Harford County Court Commissioner’s Office if they wished to pursue charges.

Otsego Street, 800 block, 1:09 p.m. on May 31. A fuchsia lily plant valued at $9 was reported stolen. Police have no suspects.
