She attributes her scholastic success to her teachers—the very same teachers who inspired her profession.

Sidra Wheeler gave her own speech Wednesday introducing her teacher and explaing why she felt Schaub deserved the top honor.
"It has been the best year of my life and it's because of my teacher, Ms. Schaub," Wheeler said.
The girl outlined how much her teacher has helped and inspired her throughout the school year, even fostering a love of reading Wheeler had previously lacked.
Before the announcement, Wheeler reassured her teacher that even if she did not win, Schaub would still be Teacher of the Year to her and her fellow classmates.
Schaub will go on to vie for the Teacher of the Year title at the state level.
