Hero's job: Home maintenance
Reason for recognition: As a dedicated critical worker in the paint department at Home Depot, he worked long hours to ensure homeowners had access to critical maintenance resources and worked extra hours so high-risk employees could be safe. All for minimum wage.
Home Depot has remained opened continuously as a critical resource for home maintenance. Some of his co-workers were not able to continue working during COVID due to underlying health issues. The remaining staff was asked to pick up the slack. At the same time, he is earning well below those that lost their jobs due to COVID and received a bonus to unemployment, making them earn significantly more than the minimum-wage job.
One thing to know: He cares deeply for others.
Thank you for all you do, Anthony!
