HdG Breaks Ground On Blenheim Run
City and state leaders celebrated the groundbreaking for Blenheim Run in Havre de Grace, which will cater to low and middle-income people.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A new community catering to people of low to moderate incomes broke ground this week in Havre de Grace.
Blenheim Run began its first phase, which will include 51 apartments, along Pulaski Highway.
Subsequent phases call for 60 more apartments and a 7,000-square foot commercial pad site.

Green Street Housing is developing the Villages at Blenheim Run, which city officials say will cost $20.62 million.
"The Directors of Public Works and Planning worked closely with the Green Street team for the past two years to annex the property, develop the first mixed-use standards for the City, and assist the developer with the entitlement process," Mayor William Martin said.

"After meeting with the developer over two years ago, we knew that they were the right team to bring the first mixed-use and mixed-income project to the City of Havre de Grace," Martin said. "The City of Havre de Grace continues to grow in a positive direction and provide affordable housing opportunities for everyone who desires to live in our great City by the bay.”
Mayor Martin was joined at Monday afternoon's groundbreaking at 1919 Pulaski Highway by Comptroller Peter Franchot, County Executive Barry Glassman, Council President David Glenn, Council Member David Martin, Council Member Carolyn Zinner, Salisbury Mayor Jacob Day, and Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development Secretary Kenneth Holt.
