All told, Katherine sold six gallons of lemonade and five dozen cookies, Fitzgerald told in an email. The money raised went to two causes near and dear to Katherine's heart.
has treated both of her grandfathers during serious, acute illnesses in recent years. For that, she felt compelled to give back.
Katherine has also helped family members when they volunteer at the 's in . Her lemonade stand didn't just serve the customers at First Friday, it helped served those in need.
