Drivers should expect lane closures during a project affecting two miles of MD 165 in Jarrettsville that includes a fire station.

JARRETTSVILLE, MD — Drivers should expect single lane closures as part of an upcoming road construction project affecting two miles of MD 165 (Federal Hill Road) in Jarrettsville.

Work will start Thursday on the $1.2 million paving project, which should wrap up by late June, weather permitting. The affected stretch of road runs from the driveway of the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and Twin Oaks Road.

Crews will work on the road weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flagging operations will give priority to the fire company and EMS vehicles needing to get through the work zone, according to the State Highway Administration.
