Man In Critical Condition After Crashing ATV At Rocks State Park

A man is in critical condition after police say he crashed his ATV at Rocks State Park.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A man was injured while driving his ATV at Rocks State Park at the Hills Grove Picnic Area in Harford County Aug. 2.

According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving a 2005 Polaris Scrambler ATV when the incident happened. He was taken to a medical center in critical condition.

The Maryland Natural Resources Police initially posted to Facebook asking for the public's help in identifying the man, but he has since been identified.

No additional information has been released about the incident.

Rocks State Park features 855 acres of rocky forest land nestled in rural northern Harford County. Primary attractions at Rocks include the King and Queen Seat and Kilgore Falls. The main section of the park includes three picnic areas, 3.5-miles of hiking trails and access to Deer Creek, which is used for fishing, wading and tubing. The park’s two satellite properties, Falling Branch (home to Kilgore Falls) and Hidden Valley, are a short drive from the main park.
