New City Council Members Sworn In Tonight
Havre de Grace City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

and will preside over their final council meetings, before newly-elected members and are sworn in.

The meeting will open with a public hearing to discuss both the proposed tax rate and an ordinance concerning backflow protection to the city water supply.

Havre de Grace members of the —Autumn Gladfelter, Jade Vincenti, Emily-Jane Wasielewski, Takyra Baugh and Laiden Ryan—will be honored with a recognition from Mayor Wayne Dougherty.
The official will be presented by the Havre de Grace Board of Elections Supervisors.
Three appointments will be made, including Christine Berry to the Arts Commission, Daniel Edwards to the Tree Commission and to the Tourism Advisory Board.
Following a period for public comment, council will consider Ordinance No. 939, concerning water and sewer rates.
Council will also hear an amendment to the special event application for First Fridays celebrations in the city.
A license agreement for a new deck in the right-of-way at 632 Erie Street will be discussed. A presentation of a special preservation award will be made to the Havre de Grace Historic Preservation Commisison for the Lafayette Trail brochure.
Mayor Dougherty will present the third quarter financial report, which he was initially scheduled to deliver at the previous meeting.
After comments from elected officials, the meeting will adjourn, followed by the oath of office for incumbent councilman and newcomers Glenn and Smith.
Council will then move into a closed session to elect a council president. Martin has served two consecutive one-year terms as president.
Council will then introduce a resolution concerning the as a temporary seal for the city.
