Police Rescue Child From Busy Intersection
Havre de Grace police responded to a report of a child near the intersection of Otsego and Juniata streets Thursday afternoon.

picked up a toddler who either fell or climbed out of a car at a busy intersection during lunchtime Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to Otsego and Juniata streets at 12:47 p.m. Thursday where a 2- or 3-year-old boy was in the street. It was unclear how the child ended up in the street, but police found the mother approximately a half hour later after they learned a female driver of a vehicle left the area, police spokesman said.
The child did not suffer any life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to as a precaution.

The mother was located in the 500 block of North Adams Street. Police are questioning the woman.
As of 2:20 p.m. Thursday, no initial reports were available.
