Semi Overturns Spilling Fuel Near Havre De Grace, Driver Ejected And Flown To Hospital

A semi overturned Tuesday night on I-95 near the Havre de Grace exit, spilling fuel and ejecting the driver who was flown to the hospital.

The incident happened Sept. 9 shortly before 8 p.m. along I-95 just past the Havre de Grace exit. The driver was ejected, however, and Maryland State Police - Aviation Command​ was dispatched to fly the driver to the hospital for treatment.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Firefighters and special operations team members were called to southbound Interstate 95 Tuesday night where a tractor-trailer had overturned.

The incident happened Sept. 9 shortly before 8 p.m. along I-95 just past the Havre de Grace exit, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company. The driver was ejected, however, and Maryland State Police - Aviation Command was dispatched to fly the driver to the hospital. Medevac landed directly on southbound I-95, just south of the scene, the fire company reported.

Harford County Department of Emergency Services special operations team members also were requested at the scene to help pump spilt fuel off the semi.
