Ships, Fireworks, Skirmishes To Highlight War of 1812 Commemoration

Havre de Grace will commemorate the War of 1812 attacks on the city in a bicentennial event from May 3-5.

The British will attack Havre de Grace on May 3, exactly 200 years after they did so in the War of 1812.

Only this time, Havre de Grace is prepared—and the outcome is bound to be one memorable party.

The city will remember the events of May 1813 with a three-day event, spanning the weekend of May 3-5, featuring First Friday, reenactments, a dinner and ball, orchestral performances, a gubenatorial visit, a 5K and a fireworks show.
