Pumpkin Smashed, Thirsty Suspect Steals Cash: HdG Police Blotter

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.

Pumpkin smashed on Snowgoose Court
Vandals smashed a pumpkin in the 600 block on Snowgoose Court on Thursday night, and removed—but did not damage—a second pumpkin from the same home, according to Havre de Grace Police. 

The victim told police that on Tuesday night, both pumpkins were intact on the front porch. Before going to bed around 9 p.m., the victim saw that both were missing. 

One pumpkin was found at the end of the sidewalk and the second pumpkin was found smashed in the street. 

Value for both pumpkins was placed at $25, according to police. No arrests have been made in this incident. 

Cash stolen from home
A local resident trying to aid a parched friend is out $130, according to a report issued by Havre de Grace Police.

The victim told police that the suspect—a  person know to the victim—requested a glass of water on Thursday afternoon. The victim let the suspect into the home and went to get the water. The victim reported that $130 that was sitting on a side table was later missing.

Police referred the victim to the Harford County Court Commissioner's Office.
