SOFTBALL: Warriors Hammer Edgewood, 24-1

The scored 10 times in the first inning and kept the offense rolling for the next three innings in a 24-1 win at Wednesday.

scored five times in the second, six in the third and three in the fourth before the game ended in the fifth inning due to the 10-run slaughter rule.

The Warriors improved to 7-4.

Hailey Bethke (2-for-3, triple, run) and Taylor Smith (2-for-2, double, two runs) each drove in four runs.

Dana Teufer went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.

Rebecca Ashman (single, three walk, RBI) scored five times.

Tori Caine singled, walked, reached on an error, scored twice and drove in another run.

Alison Lewis was 1-for-2, scored a run and drove in two others. Kayla Vaughan singled, walked, scored and drove in a run.

Riley Arnold was 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored. Kelsey McRoberts reached base on two Edgewood errors and scored two runs.

Kaitlyn Husfelt added a triple.

Arnold pitched all five innings, scattering four hits and three walks while striking out five.
