Sorority Supports Dr. MLK Jr. With "Feeding Children Everywhere"

Food donations helps families affected by pandemic

(Havre de Grace, MD) —Xi Delta Omega Chapter of Harford and Cecil Counties will support an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® online service project dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on AKA International Day of Service beginning on Monday, January 17, 2022 until Monday, April 4, 2022. The online service project, administered through the company Full Cart, is a partnership with the non-profit “Feeding Children Everywhere,” and will assist families who are struggling economically with donations of groceries. Monetary donations can be made online at https://fullcart.org/aka-north-atlantic-region-donate.

The “Feeding Children Everywhere” partnership coincides with the kickoff of Xi Delta Omega’s #40DaysofService social media campaign: a yearlong celebration of Xi Delta Omega Chapter’s 40th Anniversary in April, featuring the international service programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and the community sponsors and partners of Xi Delta Omega over the years.

“Work remains to fulfill Dr. Kings’ dream, which is why after 40 years Xi Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® continues ‘to be of service to all mankind.'' said Tina Wilson Alleyne, president of Xi Delta Omega Chapter.
