Tech Incubator to Open in Havre de Grace

The GroundFloor at Harford will host its ribbon-cutting next week.

A technology entrepreneur workspace will open next week in Havre de Grace.

The GroundFloor at Harford will host a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m., May 15, at Swan Creek Village Center. County Executive David Craig is scheduled to attend, according to a county news release.

“The GroundFloor at Harford is the next step in technology application development here within the Corridor and the Greater Baltimore Area,” Craig said in the release. “The space is ideal for technology entrepreneurs who want to work on creating their own ‘what’s next’ while also having the opportunity to work collaboratively with others.”

The facility at 2021-G Pulaski Highway, developed by the county's office of economic development, boasts nearly 2,700 square feet of space, including workstations, conference rooms and presentation areas. Membership in the incubator comes with round-the-clock access to the building and costs $40 to $100 per person per month, depending on tier.

"In addition to bringing together individuals in the technology industry, it will also encourage reciprocal access and use among other collaborative tech centers throughout the Chesapeake Science and Security Corridor and the Greater Baltimore area," the release states.

CSSC will manage The GroundFloor, and has moved its offices to the property Partners in the project include Baltimore-based Betamore and bwtech@UMBC, according to the release.
