HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Volunteers are needed to help with a planting along Water Street to create a living shoreline.

The city plans to plant 4,000 perennial plugs June 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers do not need any experience and can drop in at any time. Volunteers also do not have to stay the whole time.

Volunteers are to meet at the Jean S. Roberts Memorial Park boat launch located at 627 Water St. Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes that can get dirty and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
