What's Open, Closed On Independence Day 2024 In Havre De Grace, Harford County
Patch has the scoop on July 4 holiday trash pick-up schedule adjustments and office closures in Havre de Grace and across Harford County.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — With the Fourth of July falling on a Thursday, government offices will be closed and some services will be altered in observance of Independence Day.
Harford County government offices will be closed Thursday as will local offices including in the town of Bel Air, Aberdeen and Havre de Grace.
The Harford Waste Disposal Center, Tollgate Yard trim drop-off facility and the administrative office will be closed for the 4th of July.

Harford County senior centers will be closed, as well.
Those residents who contract with Harford County Trash Services will see a normal pick-up schedule Thursday.

Household trash that is typically picked up on Thursday in Bel Air will be picked up on Friday this week. Loose-leaf and yard waste also will not be picked up Thursday. There will be no collection of bulk trash July 4 because of the modified schedule.
In Aberdeen, trash, recycling and bulk collection will be delayed by one day for zones 4 and 5.
In Havre de Grace, no trash or recycling will be collected July 4. Thursday's collection day will be bumped to Friday and Friday will be moved to Saturday. Yard waste will be collected Monday as usual.
Maryland courts will close Thursday for the holiday.
All Harford County Public Library locations will be closed July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
