Flavor Cupcakery Makes Second Food Network Appearance
The bakery's head pastry chef will be on an episode of "Sweet Genius," which airs tonight.

A local cupcake shop continues to attract the nation's sweet tooth.
Jason Hisley, the head pastry chef of Flavor Cupcakery, will appear on an episode of Sweet Genius, which airs on the Food Network tonight, according to a post on the store's Facebook page.
Sweet Genius pits pastry chefs against one another for a $10,000 prize, according to the show's website. Renowned pastry chef Ron Ben-Israel, of the eponymous Ron Ben-Israel Cakes in New York City, judges the compeition.

Tonight's competition, which airs at 10 p.m., is entitled Puzzled Genius and will feature flamingo-inspired chocolate desserts, candy creations based on childhood inspiration and cakes made using native Southeast Asian ingredients.
Flavor Cupcakery, which is based in Bel Air, won $10,000 after on another Food Network show, Cupcake Wars, which aired in December 2011.

The cupcake shop plans to open its âthe second one for the businessâon April 17.
