Household Hazardous Waste Collection Set Sunday in Cockeysville
The one-day collection event will be held at the Baltimore County Resource Recovery Facility on Warren Road.

Has spring cleaning revealed old lawn and garden chemicals, re-chargable batteries or household paints that you should trash?
If so, you're in luck; dispose of them during a one-day collection event this weekend for Baltimore County residents.
From 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 14, drop off a host of household hazardous waste at the Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability's event. It's held in cooperation with Baltimore County Police, Fire and Public Works.

The drop-off location is the Baltimore County Resource Recovery Facility at the intersection of Warren Road and Drop Off Drive in Cockeysville.
Items accepted include:

- household paints and chemicals
- lawn and garden chemicals
- automotive fluids
- cleaning solvents
- swimming pool chemicals
- rechargeable batteries
- medicines
- mercury thermometers and thermostats
- fluorescent light bulbs
- fireworks
However, no trash will be accepted.
If you're unable to make it out to Cockeysville this weekend, the seasonal hazardous waste collection facility at Eastern Sanitary Landfill, 6259 Days Cove Road in White Marsh, is open from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, April through November, the release states.
Another one-day collection event has been scheduled for fall 2013 and will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Baltimore County Western Acceptance Facility, 3310 Transway Rd in Halethorpe, the release states.
