Orioles' Adam Jones Endorses Cockeysville BBQ Shack

Who do you think makes the best barbecue in town?

What's the best way to promote your locally owned, small-scale restaurant? Make sure a Major League All-Star thinks its tasty.

The Orioles' Adam Jones showed a little love to a Cockeysville "best kept secret" lunch spot Monday afternoon, welcoming his 96,165 followers to "come get some" at Jake's Grill on Falls Road.

Normally, here is where we would direct your to our Patch Directory where you'd find all of the local businesses, churches, medical centers and government buildings in the 21030. However, Jake's has slipped under our radar. (It's a problem we'll be rectifying in the very near future.)

We'd ask you to write a review about it and share your opinions with our readers, but fortunately that's what we have our star center-fielder for.

Jones, by the way, describes himself as a "Food Enthusiast" and "Dog Lover," which means he'll also probably like this little shindig happening just north of Cockeysville this weekend.

Jones's post on Instagram notched more than 500 "likes" and more than 30 comments, which reignited the age-old debate: who makes the best barbecue in Cockeysville?

"Have you hit up Andy Nelson's in Cockysville.... Mind blowing experience !!!," wrote Instagram user n_clash

Another user, mr_slippyfist123 responded, "Nah jakes is the real deal. He hooks it up every time. Swerveeeeee @jolo6." We're not entirely sure the meaning of "Swerveeeeee," but it sounds good.

Commenters also pointed out that the small shack at 11948 Falls Road used to be called Shorty's. Yes. That Shorty.
