YOUR PHOTOS: Incomplete Rides to Victory in My Lady's Manor

After just missing a victory last year and falling in the 2011 , Incomplete won My Lady's Manor on Saturday afternoon. 

Jockey Joey Elliott rode Incomplete over the three mile timber course against a crowded field of 14 horses vying to win the $30,000 purse in the first jewel of Maryland steeplechasing's triple crown. The pair finished the race in 5 minutes, 58 seconds.

"It was good to see Incomplete back to his old self," Elliott said.

Incomplete's owner Robert Kinsley said he felt more confident today than he did in the previous year's race.

"I wasn't as scared as I was last time," Kinsley said. "Today I felt better. [Elliott and trainer Ann Stewart] did a beautiful job to get this horse ready."

Bubble Economy and jockey William Dowling finished second. Last year's winner Bon Caddo and rider Christopher Read secured third place.

, who won the Voss Memorial in , fell off Eye Said Scat Cat about midway through the race.

Two other races—the $10,000 John Rush Streett Memorial and the $7,500 John D. Schapiro Memorial—also took place near the Ladew Topiary Gardens. Dakota Slew and rider Darren Nagle won the Street race, and Woodmount and jockey Mary Motion claimed victory in the Schapiro contest.

Alex Padussis, who worked on the event staff, said this year's race went much more smoothly than the , which was hampered by rain and cold temperatures.

"It's been the best weather," Padussis said. "It's a great change. We had a few people who tried to get better spots by saying they know the owners. But for the most part, everything's been working out."

Ladew also hosted a champagne celebration after the races. 

Last year, Incomplete came in second in the Grand National and fell in the Hunt Cup, the other two races that make up the triple crown. It also won the marquee race at the 2011 Elkridge-Harford Point-to-Point in Monkton.
