2 DC Teens Have Been Charged As Adults In Fatal Prince George's County Mall Shooting
Two teenagers from Washington, D.C., have been charged as adults in the shooting death of a man inside the Mall at Prince George's.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two 16-year-olds from Washington, D.C., have been charged as adults in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Daquan Dockery, also of Washington, D.C.
On March 25 at approximately 6:30 pm, officers with the Hyattsville City Police Department and Prince George’s County Police Department responded to a shooting inside the Mall at Prince George’s in the 3500 block of East-West Highway. Dockery was found dead inside a mall store suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigators developed the identities of the suspects and with help from the Metropolitan Police Department, the two teens were arrested in Washington, D.C., where they will stay until extradited to Prince George’s County.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident and are working to determine whether the suspects knew the victim. The motive remains under investigation, although preliminarily, detectives believe the fatal shooting may have stemmed from an argument.
