Bin Laden Dead, Media Reports, Locals React

Many news outlets are reporting that Osama bin Laden has been killed.

Update, May 2, 3:34 a.m.: Reports are now coming in that Osama bin Laden's body has been buried at sea. This decision was made so that no shrine could be erected to bin Laden at a gravesite, reporters are saying.

Updeate, May 2, 2:30 a.m.: along Baltimore Avenue early Monday morning.

Crowds flanked both sides of the main drag through College Park, chanting, singing patriotic songs, whooping, shouting and crowd surfing. Some wore American flags, some wore no tops. University police blocked off all lanes headed north and limited traffic to one lane headed south for about 45 minutes. The crowd then moved south to the corner of Baltimore Avenue and Knox Road where participants continued to wave American flags, scream their support of our country, and jump en masse.

The crowd dispersed about 2:30 a.m. and took to the campus where they held a bonfire.
