It's "speak now or forever hold your peace" day, Hyattsville. So get out and vote! Here's today's five things you need to know:

1. Polls for today's municipal elections are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Ward 1: City Hall
  • Ward 2: Magruder Park recreation building, first entrance
  • Ward 3: University Christian Church
  • Ward 4: St. Matthew's Episcopal Church
  • Ward 5: Magruder Park recreation building, second entrance.

After the polls close, votes are counted and the results made public at City Hall.

2. The Maryland Recreation and Parks Association presented the City of Hyattsville with an innovative program award for the city's Summer Camp program. This coming year will be the second round of summer camps in Hyattsville.
