Hyattsville City Council Expected to Discuss Budget Tonight

The council also plans to vote on the renewal of an advertising contract with the Hyattsville Life & Times at $2,100 per month.

There’s a presentation about the and request for vacation of Oliver Place and Maryhurst Drive planned for tonight’s City Council meeting.

Paul Taylor, director of Prince George’s County Public Schools, will address the council from 8:10 to 8:20 p.m. The council previously stated that it does not support the vacancy.

Later on the meeting agenda is a motion for the council to approve a letter of support for the vacation of rights-of-way adjacent to contingent upon the city receiving a signed agreement with the school board to ensure that proposed changes will be made, including suggestions to have all vehicular traffic to the school from Editor's Park Drive.
