• Hyattsville restaurant owner gets help from Maryland congressman to expand business (dcnewsnow.com) — A longtime Hyattsville favorite, Franklin’s Restaurant, finally received a delayed $233,000 federal employee retention credit, allowing the owner to build a long-planned ice cream shop inside the restaurant and add 10–15 local jobs. With help from Congressman Glenn Ivey, the 33-year-old business says the funding lets them better serve and invest in the neighborhood.
