Federal investigators say the conduct and recordings date back to earlier this year, after a tip from D.C. authorities. Officials have not released further details about any local safety impacts or ongoing risk.
   

• Council pauses membership in association for local cities (streetcarsuburbs.news) — A Hyattsville City Council member is helping steer reforms at the Prince George’s County Municipal Association after an alleged embezzlement of more than $30,000.
