Here are some photos from the May 16 swearing in of and Council members (Ward 3), (Ward 4), (Ward 5), (Ward 1) and (Ward 2). As his final act in office, presented proclamations to outgoing Councilmen (Ward 2) and (Ward 1) who did not win reelection in the May 3 city elections. Gardiner also presented awards to City Clerk Doug Barber, Communications Manager Abby Sandel, Community Development Manager Jim Chandler and Assistant City Administrator Vincent Jones. Barber was also presented with an award by the city's board of elections supervisors. New Mayor Marc Tartaro presented Gardiner with a proclamation for his work as mayor over the past eight years and as councilman for two years before that. Patch will post videos of Gardiner's and Tartaro's comments soon so be sure to check back for that!
