It's All About Holiday Cheer at Bowie Town Center
Santa sleighs in November 10 at the annual shopping tradition.

BOWIE, MD (November 9, 2016) – It’s all about holiday cheer this year at Bowie Town Center, Prince George’s County’s leading open-air shopping and dining destination. Santa Claus will sleigh into Bowie Town Center on Thursday, November 10 to help shoppers celebrate the season with a variety of family friendly events, entertainment and opportunities to give back to others. From family and purr-fect pet photo experiences to community showcases, Bowie Town Center is your holiday headquarters for initiatives including “The Great Tree Lighting Parade,” ornament decorating and holiday gift wrapping.
“Bowie Town Center is excited to add sparkle and spirit to this year’s holiday shopping traditions,” said Deonna Davis, marketing director at Bowie Town Center. “As a leading place for friends and family to shop, dine and spend time together, Bowie Town Center is pleased to present a variety of things to do in addition to things to buy.”

This year, Bowie Town Center is delighted to offer the following enchanting holiday happenings:
Santa’s Arrival and “The Great Tree Lighting Parade,” Thursday, November 10 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

As a kick-off to the season, shoppers are invited to celebrate the holiday season with “The Great Tree Lighting Parade.” The mall-wide parade will begin at 7 p.m. from the main entrance of Sears and end at the Great Tree Lighting set located in front of the food court. Families will enjoy entertainment from the Victorian carolers, the Bowie High School Marching Band and an appearance by everyone’s favorite man in red.
Share the Spirit of Community, Saturday, November 19 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
In the spirit of the community, the City of Bowie will host an ornament decorating table in Food Court. Shoppers can celebrate the season by decorating ornaments that will be placed on special trees throughout Bowie beginning Friday, December 4.

The Santa Photo Experience, Friday, November 25
Children and their families can experience the magic of the holidays with the Santa Photo Experience in the food court. Santa Set hours and photo package pricing can be found at www.bowietowncenter.com.
Pet Photos
Don’t furr-get your favorite pets! Capture fetching photo moments with your faithful companions during Pet Photos. Pet Photos are hosted after regular mall hours and the set gets an extensive cleaning following the event to remove any potential risk to allergy sufferers.
· Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
· Saturday, December 17 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Pancake Breakfast with Santa, December 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Bowie Town Center invites all of Santa’s little helpers to celebrate the fun and joy of the holidays with the “Pancake Breakfast with Santa” event. Kids will enjoy pancake decorating and family friendly activities. Parents can register their children by emailing BowieTownCenter@WashingtonPrime.com byDecember 7. Tickets for the event will cost $5 per child.
In addition, the Girl Scouts will host a gift-wrapping fundraiser located near the food court. The holiday gift wrapping will be available from Saturday, December 17 through Saturday, December 24 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Shoppers can take a break from their holiday shopping to enjoy the following festive performances:
- Riverdale Baptist School Choir, Saturday, December 17 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Victorian Carolers, Saturday, December 24 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
