Eastern Connecticut State University: Nana Ama Owusu-Agyemang '13 of Laurel was one of nine students who was recently inducted into Eastern Connecticut State University's local chapter of Alpha Delta Sigma, the national honor society for advertising students. Owusu-Agyemang's major is Communication. The society recognizes students who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, have a communication studies GPA of at least 3.25, are in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class, are enrolled in good standing and display a commitment to the field of communication.
McDaniel College: Mara K. Seibert of Laurel is among 30 McDaniel College juniors and seniors inducted April 7 into the Delta of Maryland Chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest academic honor society. It has chapters at 280 colleges and universities, and more than 600,000 members.
