Man Shot Dead in Laurel's Russett Green

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the murder of a man in the Russet Green community in Laurel late Tuesday night. 

Police said they responded just before midnight to Russett Green West and Ridgemoor Drive. Paramedics were already on the scene trying to save the life of a 23-year-old man who had multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Officers interviewed two possible witnesses to the shooting, but were still working to notify next of kin. 

Police said the investigation is active, but that the shooting does not appear to be random.
