Man Strikes Tree In Prince George's County, Critically Injured
A man is critically injured after he crashed into a tree and got trapped in his car on the Baltimore Washington Parkway near Route 197.

LAUREL, MD — A man is critically injured after he crashed into a tree and got trapped in his car early Tuesday morning in Laurel, police said.
The crash occurred on the Baltimore Washington Parkway near Route 197 going south at about 5 a.m., police said.
The man was trapped in his car for around 30 minutes before he was flown to a hospital in D.C.

Southbound lanes of the BW Parkway between MD-197 and Powder Mill Road were closed for hours. The lanes have since reopened.
